whew. It’s time to blog now that I’ve figured out the password. Thought this blog would expire from neglect and forgetfulness. There should be a password vault in our head for ease of logging anywhere online other than depending on the internet browser to remember it for us.

Have completed or nearly completed a fair amount of sewing. Will blog about it as soon as pictures are taken. Please pray that I may be gifted a stunning camera soon to take pictures of better clarity. For now what I have will thankfully do.

Otherwise than that I’ve been drooling and imagining new projects. Note the keyword. Imagining.

Burdastyle Magazine 12-2011

Finally managed to find a store selling the elusive magazine. Surprisingly it was CNA and not Exclusive Books that had it in stock.

Take note Exclusive Books.

Paging through, I’ve found little that I’d love to sew.

However these are amazing.

Thing is though. Fabric shopping is required to start on these projects.

Promises, Promises

Welll… I guess I shouldn’t make resolutions I cannot hold fast to.
But I can ramble along at every chance I get.
I’ve been collecting the Burdastyle Magazine every month at the bookstore.
It’s been a drool fest. I want to sew almost everything I like.
But I feel that careful consideration and the Right fabric is very very important.
What I’ve made so far was this easy peasy top from BurdaStyle 07/2010 pattern #115

Pictures may be up soon. As sooon as I take those pictures I’ve been meaning to take.

And here’s my next project I’m eyeballing. It’s from BurdaStyle 07/2010 #123 I have the fabric and it’s not chiffon. It’s a beautiful smooth fabric with drapes.

Here’s to some sewing pleasures and actually blogging about it…

All the Possibilities

Cautiously I must type that I’m sorta back to posting online.
That is if I don’t use lame excuses to deter me.
Holding back waiting for something better. But then what the hell. Better post now than never.

Yesterday, I almost wept with happiness when my fix-it brother managed to fix the foot control for the sewing machine. It’s a long story that I’ll post in a separate post.

And so finally i sewed at home last night. I sewed a tissue holder and a pleat zippered purse.
Shall let you know where I found those tutorials.
Both were sweetly easy to follow. And lovely to look at with accomplishment once finished.

Have finished the shirt. It came out meh. I feel either the fabric needs something or the shirt needs something to jazz it up.

Sewed a batwing top from a free pattern from burdastyle. It came out lovingly drapey. Need a waist cinching belt.

Am stalling at the endless possibility of which project to sew first. Oh the possibilities are just delicious.

Too long a wait

Tomorrow, maybe if I’m able to get up early in the morning, I’ll go fabric shopping to a fabric shop I’ve only found out about online.
Am hoping things will be cheeping cheap.
It has better be, since there’s a long list of things to get.

Am presently still pining for the sewing machine’s foot control.
No foot = no sewing from the last 3 months.
Torturous, I know. I come home from sewing lessons to no machine to sew away on.
Am fed up of waiting but what else is there to do beside sewing by hand, which I’ve never done.

All the world cup craziness makes me want to sew a flag. Think I’ll make a note of the colours to get tomorrow.
Shall attempt a mock up before sewing the real thing.
And this is my musings, full of creativity only to be brought short…by the nastily sharp pin that reminds me that the sewing machine does not function without it’s foot.

On a happier note, I’ve been gifted a coverstitch machine.
Shall post about it soon.
As soon as I get batteries for the camera.
Batteries have been sneaked away for a darn x-box.
Attempts to take them have been unsuccessful.

Since there’s no machine to work on, I shall try and cut out fabric and patterns.
Have them readied in time to be sewn.
Yeah, I shall do that, just as soon as i figure out which projects to start on.
